Four Jacks (Ohio)

Note:  Label scans available indicate the Ohio Four Jacks sang as a group and provided backup to several singers.  The scans credit the group on the Big 4 Hits, Gateway and Top Tunes labels, where The Herbie Layne’s Orchestra is, at times, also credited.  Sources vary on dates (1954-1958).  Because of the group’s complex discography, the post expands and corrects the book’s entries with several unverified releases still remaining.  Group members have not been found and it is unknown if any of the ‘Federal’ group is part of the Gateway/etc. group.
